Knife 242 FieldCraft Prototype
The Karam Handmade FieldCraft knife is a new design that incorporates a few new details into the standard CampCraft knife. The 3/16" thick blade is double tempered 01 tool steel and is 5 inches long. The blade features a convex grind with a distal taper. Overall length of the knife is 10 inches. The full tang is sandwiched between two brown micarta scales with orange G10 liners. The 5" handle is contoured for comfortable use. A bright orange lanyard cord adds extra retention for use over snow or water.
The spine of the FieldCraft has hand-filed thumb grooves on top along with a distinct concave area for firesteel striking.
Because this is the first of the FieldCraft knives, there is an additional capital P stamp above my regular stamp to signify prototype.
The knife comes with a leather Frontier, Kydex lined sheath. The Kydex is molded to the knife for a custom fit. The outside of the sheath is hand-tooled with a Green and Russet oak leaves and acorns scene. Kangaroo lace and copper rivet construction to last for generations.
