Knife 208 Alaskan
This Alaskan knife is hand forged from 3/16" high-carbon 01 tool steel bar stock. It features a slim satin-finished blade with a 4-1/2 inch razor-sharp edge. As with most Alaskan model knives, there is room to choke up on the blade with thumb and forefinger.
All my knives are numbered as they are made. A small number 208 is etched on the left side of the tang near the guard. The ram's horn guard is hand filed with such tight tolerances, the blade appears to grow out from it. Below the guard are blue fiber and copper spacers. The handle is made from 12-oz stacked leather and premium sambar stag antler, which is all epoxied and then peened in place with a brass pin. Super-solid!
The simple, but sturdy pouch sheath with belt loop is made from 12-oz high quality vegatable tanned leather and features a copper rivet in the upper left corner for added strength as well as a nice touch. A beautiful, yet functional knife for your collection or to take on your next hunting trip.
